Updating you from chilly Minnesota! I am here for a long weekend to attend my cousins wedding with my family! I will be back to school on Tuesday.
We had a great first week back from Fall Break! The kids were ready to learn and we got a lot accomplished! Please see the flyer attached to this post for information about the Rover's Fall Harvest on October 23rd from 5:30-7:30! We are still working on our class basket so please get your donations in by Monday so we can get it ready for the event!
Reading: We will be reading "From Seed to Pumpkin" and will focus on informational text features. Our phonics skill will be short vowel o.
Math: We will continue to work on balanced equations. We will focus on the meaning of the equal sign, and determining if an equation is true or false.
Writing: We will use "From Seed to Pumpkin" to write an informative narrative about pumpkins.
Science: We started a unit on life cycles! We will start with bats and then move on to pumpkins next week!
This is my favorite time of year, there are so many fun activities and things going on in 2nd quarter! I hope you have a great weekend, I will get back to posting pictures next week! :)
