Wow what a busy week! All the students were such hard workers and we got a lot accomplished. The classroom got new cabinets and they look fabulous. Today, the last of our boxes arrived so I will be working hard on Saturday to get our classroom nice and organized. I can't wait to be completely moved in!
Tonight is the Fall Festival in Rover's Ram Arena. Thank you to all the parents who made a donation to our class basket. A huge thank you to Christina Reavley, our room parent, for putting together an amazing "Relaxation" themed basket. Christina put so much work and time into the basket and it turned out great!
Reading: In my "Walk to Read" class our phonics skill will be digraph /th/. Our focus skill will be learning the Author's Purpose for writing stories. The Author's Purpose will either be to inform, entertain, or persuade.
Math: Next week in math we will be learning about Fact Families or Related Facts.
The students will be working with three numbers to figure out the different number sentences the numbers could make.
Example: 10, 6, 4
Writing: Next week we will be writing about an ocean animal of our choice. We will focus on writing a paragraph with strong descriptive adjectives.
Grammar: We will be focusing on proper nouns.
Science: We have been having a blast learning about spiders! We will continue this unit next week.
**The Fall Festival is tonight!
**In November we will start a food drive so keep that in mind over the next few weeks!
