Woohoo! We are going out of third quarter with a bang! These kids have been rockin' and rollin', I am sure everyone is ready for a relaxing Spring Break. I enjoyed getting the chance to meet with all of you and discuss the progress your children have made so far. It really has blown me away. This week we did a fun Social Studies unit. We learned about American symbols, the role of our President, George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and The White House. It was so much fun, I love teaching about the history of our country! Our class got lucky this week! Monday was Read Across America, so our Librarian Mrs. Hardesty planned for service dogs to come to our Library class. The students had the chance to read to 3 different service dogs. It was such a great experience. The kids were so great with these dogs, it warmed my heart! We also joined in on "drop everything and read" where we read for 30 minutes straight. Here are some pictures I captured form these two events. I hope you all have a wonderful Spring Break! Please get lots of rest and come back ready to finish the year out strong!
