Hello! We have had a very busy week here in first grade! With NWEA quickly approaching we have been working hard to make sure we are prepared as possible. This week in math we worked on measurement and had a lot of fun doing hands on activities. Here are some pictures of our mathematicians! Reading: We will be reading the story "The Kite" from Days With Frog and Toad. Our phonics skill will be y as i or e. Our focus skill will be Story Structure. Math: We will finish our measurement unit on Monday by completing a fun project! The rest of the week we will be reviewing place value. This time we will be focused on 3 digit numbers. We will also be reviewing fractions. Writing/Science: We will continue our unit on the Sun. We will be recording information about the Sun by making an informational booklet. Grammar: We will be reviewing adjectives and adding them to our exclamatory sentences. We will also be working on inflectional endings: -er, -ing, -est, and -es.
