Last week was our busiest week yet! On Tuesday we had a wonderful field trip to the MIM. Thank you so much to all the parents who volunteered! I know everyone had a great time! Here are some pictures I took at the museum.
On Friday we had a fun Valentine's Day celebration! My Mom came to celebrate with our class, and she had a blast meeting all of the students! We handed out our cards, did some crafts, and ate healthy snacks. Thanks to all the parents for being so flexible with Rover's food policies! Here are some pictures from our celebration!
Reading: Since we have a 4 day week, we decided to read Amazing Animals this week as well. We are really diving into informational text features, and this story is perfect for that! For spelling we are doing a review list this week!
Math: This week in math we are going to continue adding double digit numbers. We are also going to have math centers that focus on finding the missing addend, 10 more/10 less, balanced equations, and number sense.
Writing: We are going to continue to write an informational narrative about an animal from the story Amazing Animals.
Science: We are going to continue our unit on animal hibernation.
Grammar: We are going to continue possessive pronouns.
I hope you all had a restful Monday off. We only have three more weeks until Spring Break so expect to be rocking and rolling! If you have any questions or concerns please let me know!
